Yea, I’ve run down to the store to grab a few things in my pajama bottoms because why change for like fifteen minutes but I really don’t understand the whole pajama pant as an every day clothing item. I think my favorite sighting was a girl in the Walmart parking lot with her friends. They were dressed in jeans and cute tops and there she was in her red and white moo-cow print pajama pants with Uggs and I have no idea what top because I was trying to figure out where the hell she would want to go dressed like that or where it was “cool” to party dressed like that. They were obviously going out but since the other 2 girls and the guy with them were all dressed for daytime activities I guessed they weren’t going to a slumber party. I guess they are easy and fast to get off when you need to.
Have we gotten so freakin’ lazy that we can’t pull on a pair of sweats, which in recent years look more like slacks, or zip up some jeans? And not knowing the etiquette for using pajama pants as part of my everyday wardrobe do I just roll out of bed in the ones I wore all night? Change my underpants or wear any at all for that matter? Do I iron them if wrinkly or just go with it? Fitted top or baggy? I saw the Uggs so I’m guessing boots dress them up a bit but what about other footwear? Jewelry? Makeup and hair done? I do know that pattern (cartoon characters are not frowned upon) and color don’t matter as long as you have a top that matches at least one of the colors on the pants. This IS taking relaxation and comfort to a new level, which we as Americans strive for. I guess I could possibly be missing out on something here. Catch ya later! Gotta pick up some milk at Wawa in my jammies.
